One tradition that never grows old in my family is personalized ornaments for Christmas. It really is something my kids (and I) look forward to and we've been doing so for years since they were born. Every year we present our kids with a special ornament representing an achievement they had accomplished such as when my son learned to drive and even a beautiful marriage one for my daughter when she was married. Over the years, our tree blossoms with special ornaments that can never be replaced.

Our goal for starting this tradition? Simple, when the kids were grown, we'd have a collection or ornaments for them to take into their new lives and cherish for years, when they created their own family. It's something hubby and I have seen come to light, with our two oldest children being married and having children of their own. This year, Ken and I are planning gorgeous ones for our grandchildren and hope that one day, our family will hang our anniversary ornaments when we're long gone.... yes, even hubby and I get one for ourselves.
